Novo Fogo and The Un-Endangered Forest™ project are proud members of  1% for the Planet, an alliance of businesses financially committed to creating a healthy planet.

As a partner business on the 1% for the Planet platform, we pledge a minimum of 1% of our annual sales to support The Un-Endangered Forest, our legacy reforestation project to save 50 species of rare trees from extinction in Brazil’s Atlantic Forest. The collaboration with 1% for the Planet amplifies Novo Fogo’s environmental impact and opens the door for additional funding from other businesses on the platform, bolstering efforts to protect and restore Brazil’s Atlantic Forest through planting rare tree species.

The Un-Endangered Forest project seeks to restore 50 species of threatened native trees from the Brazilian rainforest, through a combination of conservation and agroforestry work.

Under the scientific guidance of forestry specialist Dr. Sílvia Ziller from The Horus Institute, we track hundreds of mother trees in the jungle, harvest their seeds, foster them into thousands of saplings in a nursery at the enchanting EKÔA Park, and plant them in their forever homes on over 100 local partner properties.
