The Caipirinha is Brazil’s national cocktail consisting of lime, sugar, and cachaça – Brazil’s indigenous sugarcane spirit. Its ingredients are reminiscent of a daiquiri, but the muddling of the limes puts it more akin to a mojito preparation. A caipirinha is perfect for warm weather imbibing, but whipping up a batch for a group can be laborious and messy. Sometimes you just want to crack the tab and drink a cold one.
Well, now you don’t have to limit yourself to beer and sodas. Just in time for summer picnics and and pool parties, Novo Fogo has introduced their Sparkling Caipirinha Cocktails in a can. The cans contain Novo Fogo’s Silver Cachaça, natural lime flavor, sugar, and carbonation. This shelf-stable cocktail can be consumed straight out of the can or poured over ice. No artificial flavors are used and each 200ml can contains 11.1% alcohol-by volume. They retail for $3.99 each.
The added sparkle lift is what makes this pre-made cocktail unique and fun. “Cachaça is still growing its awareness in the USA, so we want easy ways to get people into the category,” explains Novo Fogo’s CEO, Dragos Axinte. “This product is for those cocktail lovers who live in the moment.”
