Pineapple Daiquiri
Take your Daiquiri to the Brazilian rainforest!
- 1.5 oz Novo Fogo Barrel-Aged Cachaça
- 0.75 oz lime juice
- 0.5 oz pineapple juice
- 0.5 oz simple syrup
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Pro tip: try experimenting with different sugars in your simple syrup. The rich, caramelly flavors of demerara sugar complement the pineapple nicely in this one.
Barrel-Aged Cachaça
This aged spirit bakes the banana notes from the un-aged cachaça in 53-gallon American oak barrels that have been taken apart, sanded, and re-toasted. The heat and humidity of the rainforest changes the spirit to the flavors of banana bread, with notes of chocolate, cinnamon bark, coffee, and black pepper.
